New Year's In Northridge
December 20, 2017
How does Northridge, California celebrate New Year’s Eve? The residents of the Northridge Luxury Apartments might already know about how the festivities unfold here, but for those that might not be aware, the totality of the events can be described with a word: thrilling. That’s what the slew of NYE celebrations have in common here, and though they might offer something a bit different for the varied tastes of this diverse community, they all share the common element of being fun for all who attend. Which will you go to? Take a look at our overview of some of the NYE goings-on and see what suits your fancy.
Kiss Off 2017
At Bar Louie, on Tampa Avenue, the establishment’s biggest party of the year is about to unfold:
“We saved the biggest party of the year, for the very last night of the year. Tell 2017 to “KISS OFF” and make a clean break with a dirty martini with New Year’s Eve at Bar Louie!”
The music, they say, will be pumping. The bottles, in their words, will be popping. The entire bar is going to be transformed into the pinnacle of party perfection as guests kiss their worries goodbye and embrace 2018 in style. Though the fun will officially be over at 2:00AM, “the scratch kitchen will be jamming until last call… So you don’t have to end your night until we do.” Sounds like a great time for all in attendance.
Radio5 Events Fantasy Ball
Dubbed the “Most Popular New Year’s Eve Party In Los Angeles,” the Fantasy Ball provides guests the opportunity to “live the glamorous life and celebrate New Year’s Eve 2018 in Los Angeles with your fellow Desi's at the elegant Hyatt Regency.” They’ll have a bottle service, they’ll have reserved tables, they’ll have an open bar, and much more to bring in the new year.
Here’s what you’ll need to know. The party lasts until 2:00AM, and, as a red carpet affair, comes along with the best DJs and hosts running the festivities and filling the dance floor with pumping beats for you to dance the night away. There will be a live countdown to the New Year, along with a massive midnight balloon drop.
Photographers will be roaming the premises, snapping away (so be sure to look your best) and free party favors and glowsticks will be going around to provide an extra element of fun to the entire affair. It goes without saying that only those 21 and over will be able to head to this event, but as long as you’re of age, this will be one of the hottest celebrations going down in the area.
New Year’s Eve Ball At The Edison
The Edison is one of LA’s premiere lounges, an “Industrial Cathedral built within the depths of the Los Angeles' first private power plant.” For New Year’s Eve, they’ll be hosting their own ball, designed to maximize the spectacle as the clock winds down to midnight:
“Ring in the New Year with the electric sounds of Parlor Social, while our aerialists take to the air with their death defying acts of wonder. Feel the excitement walking with giants while they stilt their way through the crowd.”
Think of it as a unique blast from the past as you head into the future. Along with the festivities, there will be plenty in the way of hand-crafted cocktails and fine food, all served by the Zagat-awarded establishment. This is the NYE event for those that want a touch of old-school class along with their fun. For tickets, be sure to check out their Eventbrite Page here.

Located on Calvert Street in Van Nuys, the establishement is well-known for having a unique style and a focus on having a great time. They’ve summed up the essence of their NYE celebration quite succinctly:
“Guys! We're throwing an amazing New Years Eve Party! Unlimited pours! Live Music! Food Galore! Rare Beer Release! So much fun. You know we throw good parties!”
That last line sells it. Good parties indeed. This one won’t disappoint, so get down there at 7:00PM, and be prepared to party away until 2:00AM when it all wraps up.
New Year’s Eve Celebration By Maxim Restaurant
For an upscale take on the new year, the celebration at Maxim Restaurant & Banquet Hall will provide. This, they say is the “time for a big celebration,” replete with an “excellent musical program & great company.” It will be a magical night, according to the event organizers, one filled with more than just food, drink, and amazing fellows:
“A wonderful and talented performer from San Francisco, Regina Shapiro, will join our band on December 31.”
